Brisbane Open House gives you a peek inside the city’s buildings

You know that feeling you get when you wander past a house with its door ajar and you can't help but take a peek? Brisbane Open House lets you sneak a look inside some of the city's most iconic buildings.

You won’t need to risk being nabbed for trespassing this weekend in order to indulge your love of architecture. The annual Brisbane Open House event will provide the public the opportunity to access some of our city’s most fascinating buildings, infrastructure and landscapes.

The event has evolved significantly since it first began in 2010, when it opened the doors to 20 different buildings. This year, close to 90 different buildings will be featured throughout the event. The program includes such iconic structures as John Beauchamp Nicholson’s Princess Theatre in Woolloongabba, Customs House in the CBD, and the cavernous Spring Hill Service Reservoirs.

To make things a cinch, you can plan your personalised itinerary for the day on the Brisbane Open House website, or follow one of the suggested itineraries.
