Inner-city living on Elizabeth Street is set for a slender makeover

A development application has been submitted for a new residential tower on Elizabeth Street in the CBD, designed by Rothelowman architects.

Slimmer doesn’t always mean more attractive, but in the case of a new proposed residential tower for 195–199 Elizabeth Street in Brisbane’s CBD, it will certainly make it more eye-catching.

Looming at 60 stories and around 190 metres high, the building – which is the work of Rothelowman architects  – will comprise 248 apartments ranging from one to three bedrooms. Aside from its slender exterior, the building’s other draw cards include a recreation deck that features a pool, spa, barbecue area, dining room and terrace.

Encouraging people to put their greenest foot toward, the development will feature space for 310 bicycles, in addition to the basement carpark and vehicle stacker. Overall the design intends to epitomise sub-tropical living in an urban context, helping Brisbane achieve its goal of truly becoming the New World City.
