Post-pandemic positivity – Scenic Rim set to flourish thanks to major Hazelwood Estate eco-tourism redevelopment

The Gold Coast hinterland and the greater Scenic Rim region are set to receive a post-pandemic boost with a major eco-tourism project to come to life in the rolling hills of Beechmont in 2021. Established polo venue and wagyu-cattle farm Hazelwood Estate, which spans 75 acres of lush hinterland, will undergo a multi-million-dollar expansion to incorporate a new accomodation offering, a luxury day spa and a paddock-to-plate dining establishment.

Hazelwood Estate’s expansion project is being delivered in conjunction with the State Government and is set to cater for corporate groups, health and art retreats, boutique weddings, and events, with workshop and conference facilities to form part of the development. Upon completion, the property, which sits on the edge of Lamington National Park (90 minutes from Brisbane), will feature a range of new luxury cottages and glamping accommodation, in addition to its current homestead and guest house.

According to Hazelwood Estate, a new paddock-to-plate experience within ‘The Clubhouse’ will offer diners quality cuts that showcase the ‘unique, rich flavour of highly marbled wagyu steak’, as well as fresh produce from local famers. Hazelwood Estate is set to be unveiled in early 2021. We’ll have more details for you in the coming months – in the meantime, you can head to the website for more information and contact details.
