Turning 50 is a big deal, so it’s no wonder Sheridan got Ken Done back on board to help celebrate the milestone – the aforementioned 80s collab was a truly groundbreaking moment for both parties. The lifestyle landscape was rocked at the time, with Ken’s work bringing bold art and colour into people’s homes as a focal point. This new joint effort is a modern retrospective on this iconic moment, with Ken providing a contemporary take on the original collection. The new range also brings to the forefront Sheridan’s illustrious history of supporting local artistic talent and uniquely Australian style.
The new Ken Done collection features a limited run of items including two quilt covers, two cushions and one beach towel, each adorned with unique prints in Ken’s signature style of painterly brush strokes and vibrant colours. The quilt options are between the boat-heavy print of Saturday Sailing or the more minimalist and abstract Antarctica. The Aquarium cushion is festooned with sea life inspired by the Great Barrier Reef, while the Sunday Sailing print is proudly displayed on both a cushion and beach towel (for ultimate summer feelgood vibes). The artwork is digitally printed onto its respective home – 100 percent cotton sateen for the quilts and 100 percent cotton for the cushions and towel.
