Turn your entertaining area into a green space with a Living Table

Indoor plants have long been a fantastic way to spruce up a room, but if you aren’t satisfied with the amount of green in your home then you might need to up your game. Living Table by Habitat Horticulture is a great way to incorporate greenery into your home, with a sophisticated system for eliminating drainage and reducing watering time.

Although in The Weekend Edition office we might not consider ourselves the most accomplished plant parents, we still love our leafy, green babies. We’ve fallen in love with a new discovery that can solve our plant maintenance troubles, while also adding a breath of fresh air to our homes. San Francisco’s Habitat Horticulture has designed a table that can foster a collection of your favourite plants, allowing them to thrive with less maintenance than regular potting.

Designed by Habitat Horticulture’s David Brenner to house standard four-inch containers, the Living Table is perfect for low-growing, ground-cover plants. The Living Table features a unique self-watering irrigation system that ensures that plants can self-regulate water uptake. The table features a thick tempered glass top, sitting above a leafy layer, soil, felt and a layer of bio balls in a stainless-steel basin installed on a solid walnut wood frame – creating a suitable environment for growth and a stylish decorative element. Head to the Habitat Horticulture website for more information and updates on when we can get our hands on the table in Australia.
