Maison development to redefine apartment living in New Farm

A stunning collection of green-ringed luxe apartments is set to sprout in Brisbane by 2020, subject to DA approval.

Perched on the corner of Barker and Moray Streets in New Farm, just a stone’s throw from Brisbane River and the Story Bridge, a sought-after space is reserved for innovative new apartment development, Maison. Currently awaiting DA approval and with completion expected by 2020, the intimate collection of five ‘boutique sky homes’ on 81 Barker Street aims to present an alternative to standard apartment living, thanks to sprawling units that boast an abundance of natural light and cross-ventilation, and are wrapped in landscaping. Taking its name from the French word for ‘home’, Maison strives to offer the best of house living while taking advantage of the convenience and inclusive amenities of apartment living.

High-end internal finishes and spacious single-level floor plans meet recurring off-form concrete planters ascending up the building’s exterior, presenting a draped veil of natural greenery. Residents can enjoy views of the Brisbane CBD skyline and Story Bridge, while being located just a short walk from Howard Smith Wharves. Four units have direct lift entry and access to the communal rooftop pool and recreation deck, while the top-floor penthouse boasts its own private rooftop pool, dining and lounge which capitalises on the views. This beautifully unconventional multi-residential design is the result of a collaboration between Brisbane’s Frank Developments, Graya Developments and Joe Adsett Architects.
