West End’s riverside strip along Montague Road is expected to receive a further boost to its community growth when Pradella’s master-planned precinct Montague Markets begins construction later this year. In addition to new shopping, retail and office facilities, the development will also add new living opportunities to the in-demand pocket. Centred around two residential towers boasting 181 apartments and resort-style amenities, the $175-million development is Pradella’s 14th project in West End, forming a piece of the company’s vision for a $1-billion riverside community along the Milton Reach.
Pradella has announced that Woolworths supermarket will be an anchor tenant at the Montague Markets precinct, occupying a 3400 square metre space on a long-term lease. Montague Markets will also offer 15 tenancies for specialty retail, a landscaped public plaza, central arcade and alfresco dining zone, as well as underground car park bays. In a statement to the media, Pradella director Kim Pradella also announced plans to extend Tondara Lane into a community pop-up space, complete with a 200 square metre public art piece.
