Brisbane City’s new proposed development – imagined by Blight Rayner architects – showcases a building that will potentially soar slenderly 81 storeys above the Brisbane City streets. The No. 1 Brisbane concept incorporates organic touches to ensure it is a green addition to the skyline, with materials such as double-glazed glass will offering silver and white hues along with a continuation of mall stone to ground and link the tower with its surrounds. A podium level will incorporate a several features that looks to add a new thoroughfare, with a new laneway proposed to link Burnett Lane and Queen Street, several new retail spaces within and along Burnett Lane, and subtropical vantage points offering escalated views above the Queen Street bustle.

The tower will be divided into sections offering a range of one, two, three, and four-bedroom dwellings and a selection of sub-penthouse and penthouse abodes. No. 1 Brisbane’s façade has been specifically fashioned into boast four distinct segments or ‘neighbourhoods’, segmented by landscaped terraces and sky gardens placed at intervals along the buildings surface. These recesses are designed to offer spots for gatherings of residents, with each neighbourhood boasting its own community centre with a pool, cinema, wellness centre, lounge, and more.
