Make your wanderlust more fabulous with The Seek Society’s eco camping gear

Look, we understand that camping is a highly practical activity but does that mean we have to sacrifice aesthetics? Those fluorescent plastic dome tents might be perfect for mountaineers hoofing it up Everest but for us laypeople they leave little to be desired. Camping gear has gotten an eco-conscious makeover courtesy of The Seek Society, a Sydney-based company putting a sense of style back into a pastime typically associated with roughing it.

The Seek Society was born from the minds of an expedition company manager and an avid environmentalist, so you know it was created with solid intentions. Sharing the belief that adventure seekers and outdoorsy types should have access to products that are both durable and environmentally responsible, Charity Turner and Phoebe Cox took matters into their own hands with this business endeavour. The firsthand knowledge in their respective fields drove them to create a line of products that are accessible, affordable and environmentally friendly – it doesn’t hurt that they happen to be extremely easy on the eyes, too.

Visually, The Seek Society’s offering wouldn’t be out of place in a Wes Anderson movie (looking at you, Moonrise Kingdom). The high-grade canvas bell tents, camera canvas backpacks and duffel bags with brass and leather detail all feature earthy tones – not a garishly coloured plastic dome in sight! The hand-woven Aztec rugs are perfect for adding some pep to a campsite – the generous surface area and rad geometric print make it perfect for sprawling out and spinning a few campfire yarns on.

Ready to get in touch with your earthy side? You can shop The Seek Society through its official online store. Go on, explore!
