From private parties to discussion panels, keynote lectures, in-depth Q&As and monthly connect events, The Design Conference (TDC) is set to be a cracker in 2019. Running over three days and four nights from May 29 to June 1 at Brisbane Powerhouse, the event will explore not only the future of design but also what it means to some of the world’s most creative brains.
Creative leaders from around the world – think HAWRAF from New York, Snask from Stockholm and Josephmark from right here in Brisbane – will share their insights, while you’ll also have the unique opportunity to connect with and learn from delegates in the Breakout sessions. Never Not Creative will share its findings from the largest study into the mental health of the creative industry and discuss what creatives can do to avoid professional burnout. TDC’s brand-new Connect Events series will offer monthly opportunities to share in other artists’ experiences, kicking off with Gangplank and Bee One Third talking collaboration and product packaging on March 28.
Aspiring designers will also have the chance to get involved, with TDC Futures aimed at introducing high school seniors and first-year university students to the big wide world of commercial design.
