Mirvac gearing up to release the anticipated new stage of its $1 billion Waterfront Newstead

Publicly listed property group Mirvac has received development approval for the anticipated next stage of its $1 billion Waterfront Newstead community – a 25-level building known as Sky Precinct. The tower will be located alongside the Brisbane River and will join previously completed stages including Pier, Park and Unison.

Envisioned as a ‘park within a park’, the new stage of Mirvac’s Waterfront Newstead development has been designed to integrate with and expand the surrounding Waterfront Park with a ground-level tropical oasis featuring pools of water, shaded enclaves and grassed areas. The building will draw greenery up its facade and across lush landscaped balconies to create a visually striking addition to the transformative project’s masterplan. Sky Precinct will deliver 143 one, two, three and four-bedroom apartments that have been designed by Mirvac’s team to cater specifically to owner-occupiers, embrace Brisbane River views and the city’s sub-tropical climate.

Located at 57 Skyring Terrace, Sky Precinct will contain a suite of exclusive resident lifestyle amenities including a ground-level wellness centre with a gym and yoga studio, a resident’s lounge and a private dining room on level 19. Work on a new sales and display suite on the corner of Cunningham Street and Skyring Terrace is set to commence in anticipation of the project’s launch early next year. Mirvac began developing its vision for the Waterfront Newstead masterplan in 2001 and has so far delivered three stages with a development approval in place for another future stage, the Shore Precinct.
