Designer Akira Isogawa lends creative input to West Village’s Arcadia

Global fashion icon and one of the country’s best-known designers Akira Isogawa has helped guide the next stage of the West Village development in West End.

Residential property developer Sekisui House Australia (SHA) has continued its hugely successful collaboration with Australian artists for the West Village development, with the release of Arcadia Residences scheduled to open in late 2019. Following on from partnering with artists David and Yuge Bromley on the Park and Lexington buildings, which opened late last year, SHA has now joined forces with acclaimed design leaders Akira Isogawa, award-winning design firm SJB Interiors and Plus Architecture. Akira takes his design cues from nature and combines them with a nod to his Japanese heritage and a sense of tranquility, space and beauty in the luxe apartments.

The West End development’s new release boasts a suite of 53 exclusive residences in its new Arcadia North Gallery – five one-bedroom, 18 two-bedroom, 14 three-bedroom and 16 four-bedroom apartments. Each three- and four-bedroom apartment features a three-metre-long stone kitchen bench, double oven with Miele appliances, a butler’s pantry, and baths in all master suites. The North Gallery will see 14 levels of residences perched on top of a seven-metre-high lobby that leads onto a sub-tropical garden conservatory, heated pool and library, alongside a private dining/club room and cinema area. A 1,000 m2 Japanese Chusizen, or island garden forest, will join the North and South Galleries and feature a second pool, individual meditation spaces, outdoor dining areas and a full outdoor kitchen with BBQ facilities.
