Chuckle and cringe at the brilliant mind and observations of David Sedaris

Chuckle and cringe at the brilliant mind and observations of David Sedaris

The last time David Sedaris was in town, he shared the story of his discovery of a lump on his right side – a lipoma, a harmless fatty tumour. While most people would be eager to see the back of that tumour once removed, David had other plans. He wanted to feed it to a specific snapping turtle, one he had seen with a big growth on his head. It's a story audiences were sure to never forget, and you can bet there will be plenty more witty social critiques and obscure observations when David returns to Brisbane City Hall on Wednesday January 24.

Best-selling author and humourist David Sedaris is back for his fourth Australian tour following the release of his critically acclaimed latest book, Theft By Finding: Diaries (1977–2002). On Wednesday January 24 audiences will be treated to an insight into the razor-sharp and eccentric mind of the author at An Evening with David Sedaris, which will see David share new and unpublished material at Brisbane City Hall, plus audience Q&As and book signings.

Theft By Finding: Diaries (1977–2002) delves into David’s unique personal diary entries and observations, proving that when you’re as quick, curious and perceptive as David Sedaris, a boring day doesn’t exist. Previous tours have sold out so if you’re ready to spend An Evening with David Sedaris, head to our Event Guide for ticketing details.
