Filmed at City Recital Hall in Sydney and streamed to your home for the first time ever, Australian Brandenburg Orchestra’s Ayres & Graces blends colourful imagery curated by Australian designer Silvana Azzi Heras with a program of period chamber music from the English and French Baroque that will delight audiences. The concert will feature a spectacular collection of musical talent playing period instruments, with program curator Melissa Farrow on the Baroque flute and recorder, Rafael Font playing the Baroque violin, Marianne Yeomans on the Baroque viola, Anton Baba playing the Baroque cello and viola da gamba, Tommie Andersson on theorbo and Baroque guitar, and Mikaela Oberg on the Baroque flute and recorder.

First you will be transported to late 17th-century France with a rendition of music from the first opéra-ballet, L’Europe galante, followed by a performance of ‘Entrée des Zéphyrs’. Later, you will time travel to 18th-century London, when the orchestra plays a medley of tunes including ‘Strawberries and Cream’ from The English Dancing Master (1657).
