Kickstart your heart at the inaugural Bakery Lane Craft Coffee Festival

Whether you’re in it for the taste or you rely on it to get you up in the morning, the lure of a good coffee is incredibly strong. Luckily for all of us, Brisbane’s coffee scene is absolutely stellar – our local roasters, cafes and baristas all work extremely hard to keep us caffeinated with delicious brews all year long. If you’re a fan of the world’s favourite bean-based beverage, we have some news that is set to get you buzzing – we’re getting a festival dedicated to the best in the business! Clear your diary for Saturday August 4 because the inaugural Bakery Lane Craft Coffee Festival is coming for you.

This festival isn’t just about cups of the good stuff – the Bakery Lane Craft Coffee Festival is dedicated to coffee in a more multi-faceted way. Bakery Lane’s cafes, bars and restaurants will all be getting in on the action, whipping up various concoctions with coffee as the hero. As well as some of the most expertly brewed cups in town, cast your mind a little wider – think coffee-flavoured eclairs, traditional crêpes drenched in coffee crème, tiramisu cups, espresso cupcakes, milky coffees stirred with chocolate spoons and loads more.

Popular coffee hangs Le Petit Paris, Cakes and Shit and The New Black will be repping the hot beverages hard, as well as serving up coffee-centric treats. Nomnom Korean Eatery, Jonny’s Pizzeria, the new TSO Valley Lounge & Dining, Laruche and The Bowery are also getting in on the action, offering their take on coffee-inspired eats and drinks throughout the festival. There will also be a range of stalls and suppliers set up throughout the laneway, so you can sip and sample your way through a range of bespoke beans and pick up tips from top-gun baristas. Rad live tunes from The Fergies and Pink Matter will provide the soundtrack for the day, and if you feel like kicking on after dark the bars will be shaking up many coffee-infused libations.

Ready to get a buzz on? The Bakery Lane Craft Coffee Festival is free to enter and runs from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm on Saturday August 4.
