The all-American prophets are back – The Book of Mormon sings again for limited return at QPAC

Following a sold-out season at QPAC's Lyric Theatre in 2019, the cackle-inducing comedy musical, The Book of Mormon returns to Brisbane's QPAC for a limited time from Friday January 3 to Friday February 14.

Since making its world premiere in 2011 at New York’s Eugene O’Neill Theatre, where it won a whopping nine Tony® Awards, The Book of Mormon has been performed on three continents and won over 30 international awards. The crowd-favourite musical has smashed long-standing box office records in New York, London, as well as Melbourne and Sydney. Not for the easily offended, the musical is a satirical examination of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints’ beliefs and follows the misadventures of a mismatched pair of missionaries, sent on a mission to a place that’s about as far from Salt Lake City as you can get.

After waiting years for the hit musical to reach our great city, it came as no surprise that 2019 saw a successful run at QPAC’s Lyric Theatre. Thankfully, fans and first-timers once again have the chance to get their hot little hands on tickets to the outrageous musical comedy from the comic-genius minds of South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone. Didn’t catch the show the first time round? Don’t miss the Mormons twice – grab your tickets from QPAC.
