Those who are Brisbane Open House regulars would be well across some of the amazing buildings that are made available for public viewing on the day (looking at you, Brisbane City Hall and Spring Hill Baths), but the 2018 edition of the program has some brand-new surprises in store. For the first time, you can catch a glimpse of iconic and innovative spaces like the award-winning Anglican Church Grammar School, veritable fun factory Flight Centre, the mammoth Skytower and stunning entertainment venue The Tivoli. These selections are just the tip of the iceberg, with a grand total of 114 of the city’s most-loved buildings ripe for exploring and inspection.
As well as a bevy of fresh buildings, the 2018 edition of Brisbane Open House is launching its BOH After Dark program which – you guessed it – gives lucky punters the chance to check out some sweet spots once night falls. If nocturnal exploring isn’t your jam, don’t fret – this year also sees more than 20 daytime walking tours taking place so you can see some highlights all in one day. A range of amazing complementary events will also be taking place throughout the weekend – think virtual reality tours, string concerts, stirring talks and storytelling galore.
