There are more than 100 free workshops, activities and events happening across the city for Brisbane Youth Week, so there is plenty on offer for you to get involved in. There are some festivals happening within the week that provide a fun, chill atmosphere to hang out. Bloom is an all-ages music festival that’s spread across key Valley venues like Winn Lane, The Foundry and Tym Guitars, plus you can also check out Live and Loud in Paddington for more live tunes, free swimming, a barbecue and a skate competition. Bayside kids can get in on the fun too – Baywave is taking over Wynnum with bands, food stalls, a big screen cinema and loads more goodness.
For those who like to get a bit hands-on, Brisbane Youth Week is bursting at the seams with ways to unleash some creativity. Visible Ink Youth Hub is holding some swell workshops – get into gear with a steampunk-inspired jewellery-making workshop or spend an afternoon learning about sustainable food habits. If you were looking for an activity with a retro twist, look no further than Back to the 80s yoga. Speaking of more active stuff, there is also a killer dance party with Kpop and Jpop hits galore going down at SunPAC.
