From cheese alleys to wine ice-cream – find your new favourites at the Good Food and Wine Show

We’ve all had instances where we’ve tasted something for the very first time and had our minds blown. You know, from the moment it hits your lips and you instantly think, “Holy smokes, this is a game changer and please give me 100 more.” The thrill of finding flavours that really resonate with you is pretty much unparalleled, which is what makes the Good Food and Wine Show the equivalent of Christmas for adults. Running from October 27–29 at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre, this culinary paradise brings together a travelling road show of some of the best producers around the country for your eatin’ and drinkin’ pleasure.

After some tasty interstate pit stops earlier in the year, it’s finally our turn to reap the spoils of the Good Food and Wine Show. The show is a three-day immersion in all things food and beverage that brings together hundreds of exhibitors showing off their wares – from booze to cheese and everything in between, you’ll find some delicious derivative of it here. As well as sampling everything you can get your hands on (such as wine ice-cream in the Vinomofo Adventure Park), the Good Food and Wine Show is also about gaining the skills and info to take your kitchen game to the next level. Learn how to pair like a pro, how to toss pizza dough like a New Yorker and even how to sound like you know what you’re talking about when you drink wine.

As well as bringing us a slew of new local and regional exhibitors, the Good Food and Wine Show is gifting audiences with a killer celebrity chef line-up including Adam Liaw, George Calombaris, Luke Nguyen, Matt Moran and Miguel Maestre. The brand-new Chef’s Lunch series adds another level of excitement to the experience, offering the chance to enjoy an intimate three-course meal designed by the celebrity chefs themselves matched with premium wine. There are some more seriously impressive debuts happening this year – you can live your most opulent life in the Champagne Taittinger & Oyster Bar, sit down to a delicious meal at the EAT dining precinct or even take on one of the many fresh masterclasses on offer.

Hungry for more? Of course you are. You can nab tickets to the Good Food and Wine Show through the event’s official website. We recommend splashing out for the VIP experience – skip the queues, nab plenty of freebies and take it easy for the day!
