Let your littles get hands-on with Island Fashion at QAGOMA

If you are a parent or a carer, you understand all too well how challenging it can be to constantly find activities to entertain and stimulate small people with even smaller attention spans. Well, we hear you. Allow us to introduce you to the Island Fashion installation at the Children's Art Centre at QAGOMA.

Reached your quota of park trips and visits to the library? Island Fashion invites kids of all ages to explore fashion and adornment through creative hands-on multimedia activities (because we all know little hands need to touch everything). The activities have been created by artists from Australia and the Pacific especially for children and their families and carers.

Join in a paper folding activity (excellent for honing fine motor skills) by Grace Lillian Lee, design your own textile pattern in a multimedia interactive by Letila Mitchell, and create a wearable accessory inspired by the work of Maryann Talia Pau and Ranu James. Oh, did we mention it was free? Island Fashion will be around until March 2020 so you can come once or make it part of your weekly list of activities.
