Following on from the awesome Erin Lightfoot ceramics residency in May, West Village is continuing its Laneway WV series by shining a light on sustainability. The precinct has quickly garnered a reputation as an environmentally conscious development, boasting world-class accreditations for its efforts. The month of June will see West Village come alive with a series of activities and workshops that are dedicated to green living, creativity and community, starting with the art of kokedama.
Whether you’re a die-hard green thumb or a bit of a newbie, the Laneway WV kokedama workshops are perfect for every level. The amazing Japanese florist Mikiko Inoue will be conducting two-hour sessions, teaching participants the finer points of the art form. A glass of champagne on arrival sets the chill tone for the day, where you will craft both one sitting moss ball and one hanging moss ball from the lush materials provided. You will also leave armed with the expert knowledge of how to care for your new kokedama, ensuring that your new green pals will stay in tip-top condition.
Ready to live the lush life? You can book tickets to West Village’s Laneway WV kokedama workshops right now – spots are limited so don’t sleep on it.
