Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival Brisbane returns for five days of fabulousness

After a hiatus in 2016, the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival Brisbane returned last year in finer form than ever before and you guys were here for it. The 2018 edition has upped the ante even further, giving us all a sneak peek at what’s to come from some of our country’s hottest designers. Clear August 26–30 in your diary, because this one’s going to be a doozy.

Perfectly timed to kiss winter goodbye, the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival Brisbane coincides with the release of new season spring/summer collections in stores – meaning that you get to scope runway looks that will be making it to the rack very shortly. Some of the most beloved local and international names will be appearing alongside up-and-comers of the fashion industry, showcasing their work to an audience of industry insiders, media and straight-up fashion lovers. From runway shows to high teas and lavish parties, this is a chance to connect with Australia’s fashion scene in an intimate and tangible way.

Following its hiatus, the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival Brisbane sold out in record time last year. This year has also been a knockout for tickets – so much so that for the first time ever, the festival is releasing spots at special encore performances. Two runway group shows are being repeated for the first time in the festival’s 12-year history, giving eager eyes the chance to scope spring/summer collections from some of Australia’s most coveted designers. The first show on Tuesday August 28 features names like alice McCALL, Camilla, George Wu, Scanlan Theodore and Ginger & Smart, while the second show on Thursday August 30 will showcase Sacha Drake, Urbbana, Maiocchi, Helen Grant and more.

Want a slice of the action? The last remaining tickets for the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival Brisbane are available online, so don’t miss out.
