From sumptuous spreads to champagne garden parties – Mother’s Day celebrations for every mama

She’s the one who has cooked you countless meals, consoled you through every horrible break-up, fixed your fringe when you tried to cut it yourself and always let you lick the wooden spoon after a cake-making session – yep, we’re talking about your mum. One day doesn’t seem like nearly enough to say thanks for all that she’s done, but it’s worth packing as much love as you can into your Mother’s Day proceedings. On Sunday May 13 (that’s Mother’s Day, in case you forgot), Treasury Brisbane will be celebrating all things matriarchal with a host of fantastic events to suit every kind of mama. From champagne garden parties to fancy high teas or even a family breakfast, it’s all taken care of.

If you want to level up from the traditional tea and toast in bed, Mother’s Day at Treasury Brisbane is starting things off with a massive buffet breakfast that the whole family can enjoy. The sun-kissed surrounds of the Courtyard will be set up with all of the fixings to build a breakfast to suit every taste – we’re talking crispy bacon, fluffy scrambled eggs, tasty waffles and even some cheeky mimosas for mum. Rather save the surprise for the evening? Not to worry – you can book a seat at Treasury’s special Mother’s Day Dinner including a decadent three courses and a glass of Moët & Chandon on arrival. Indulge in delights made from locally soured produce – think succulent pork belly, Cone Bay barramundi, choc cherry delights and yoghurt panna cotta.

For those who would prefer to indulge in a little mid-day revelry, the Veuve Clicquot Garden Party is the perfect option. One of the best ways to show your appreciation for your mum’s hard work is with champagne, and when you add delicious French delicacies in a stunning fairytale courtyard the whole deal just gets sweeter. Live music will set the scene for an afternoon of Parisian-inspired high tea feasting with treats like petite fours, salmon en croute, eclairs and swan choux pastry all featuring on the menu. If you can’t afford a plane ticket to Paris, this is the next best thing.

Feeling the love? You can find more information on the Mother’s Day at Treasury Brisbane events along with booking details at Treasury Brisbane’s website.
