Over the course of three days, Myriad ticket-holders will be treated to a series of events, workshops and tracks designed to generate global connections on a local scale. More than 100 world-leading local and international speakers – including some Silicon Valley heavyweights – will unpack and present issues of innovation across a wide range of topics. Both speakers and audiences will tackle issues including the future of food, health, culture, play, work and money, with a view to finding technological and other solutions to some of the world’s biggest challenges.
The whole Myriad program is pretty stacked, but there are a few highlights that we simply must mention. Since chatting to him for The Locals, we’ve been hanging out to catch James Gilmour and his brother Adam talk us through their company Gilmour Space Technologies, Australia’s booming space-tech industry (who knew?!) and the future of low-cost entry into space. You can also catch co-founder and CEO of AeroMobil Juraj Vaculik as he dives deep into the flying car industry, as well as hearing from Tesla and SpaceX board member Steve Jurvetson waxing lyrical on the future of cities and transport – including rocket travel and colonising Mars.
Ready to see through time? You can grab tickets to Myriad through the festival’s official website right now.
