From modest beginnings in 1895 across a series of temporary locations, the Queensland Art Gallery found a permanent home along the river on June 21, 1982. Since then 13 million people have visited the gallery, browsing, interacting and finding inspiration and wonderment from the exquisite works that have coloured QAG’s walls.

To celebrate, a two-week program of talks and tours with curatorial staff will delve into aspects of the gallery’s significant and beloved collection.
