Following the success of previous years’ events, Salumi Sagra returns this year – bigger and better than ever. A five-course lunch of Italian cuisine (think antipasti, pasta and lots and lots of cheese) will be served up alongside carefully paired wines. The extensive menu encourages guests to take their time and savour the flavour of expertly crafted meals and to mingle with other diners between bites. The venue selected for this year’s Salumi Sagra is The Bromley Room at West Village, which is a fitting choice – its loft-like feel and exposed brick walls would not be out of place in a Sicilian setting. The icing on the cake? Guests will be dining to the tune of a live Italian band.
The menu for Salumi Sagra has already been released to give potential guests a taste (not literally, unfortunately) of what’s to come. After canapes on arrival, guests will dine on dishes like crostini di prosciutto e pera – prosciutto on crostini with glazed pears, gnocchi mustardela e porri – gnocchi with mustardela and caramelised leek, and porchetta – rolled pork with nduja, chickpeas and rosemary. The fifth and final course will offer a choice of delicious desserts, our pick being stracciatella con pesche – brulee stracciatella cheese with caramelised peach and crostini. Hungry yet? You can secure your tickets to Salumi Sagra through Eventbrite.
