The Stone & Wood backyard party is more than just your garden-variety bash – this one-night event is a melting pot of great beer, food-truck faves, local markets and live tunes to boot. Hungry punters can snack on eats from King of the Wings, Moo Free Burgers and Abbiocco, plus there will be an ice-cream truck for the kids (and those who just love ice-cream). As well as the delicious food, there will be a pop-up market full of local makers selling handmade goods, a vinyl record store courtesy of the legendary Sonic Sherpa and live painting by local artist DRAPL, all set to a soundtrack of killer beats from live DJs Your Mates on the decks. To take the party to the next level, Bootleg Rascal will also be playing a ticketed set upstairs inside the Museum with some special guests.
Considering the party is run in conjunction with Brewsvegas, it makes sense that there is a delightful focus on beer. Stone & Wood’s faithful beer truck Clyde will be pouring a tantalising selection of brews, including official festival beer the Hoppy Potato Ale. Profits from pours will be split between the not-for-profit Brewsvegas and food rescue angels at OzHarvest – so you can get hoppy for a great cause. As if that wasn’t feel-good enough, this event also marks the launch of Stone & Wood’s #forcupssake zero-waste movement in Queensland. Every beer purchased comes with a refillable cup that can either be taken home as a memento or given back at the end of the event to be reused at future events. You can save the world one beer at a time!
Entry to the Stone & Wood backyard party simply requires a gold coin donation. If you’re keen to keep the good vibes flowing all night, you can grab tickets to the Bootleg Rascal show through Eventbrite.
