Teneriffe Festival unveils its jam-packed entertainment line-up

One of our favourite local fiestas, Teneriffe Festival, will be making its long-awaited comeback next month! This bangin' 'burb blowout will be brimming with delicious eats, decadent drinkables and perhaps most excitingly, some darn-fine entertainment. We've got the lowdown on who will be serenading you on Saturday May 28 and we think you're going to froth this primo program of performers.

Curated by the supreme tastemakers at The Triffid, the line-up for this year’s Teneriffe Festival is a who’s-who of homegrown talent. Heading up the rockstar roster is iconic Aussie muso Ben Lee, who will be bringing his back catalogue of much-loved bops to Vernon Terrace – think ‘We’re All In This Together’, ‘Catch My Disease’ and ‘Love Me Like The World Is Ending’. Joining Ben will be Brisbane hip-hop group Resin Dogs, as well as The Steele Syndicate, The Predators, Great Sage, Melaleuca and more. If that’s not enough to get you grooving, the Jazz Music Institute street parade will bring the sounds of New Orleans to the streets of Teneriffe, or those who prefer their jazz a bit more laidback can soak up some smoother tunes in the Riverside unWINEd Garden – with a vino in hand, of course.

The day isn’t complete without some top-notch nosh and tantalising tipples, and you’ll get that in spades at Teneriffe Festival. Famished adventurers can treat their tastebuds to a selection of flavoursome food-truck bites or visit local stalwarts like Dalgety 2.0 Public HouseStreetcorner JimmySiffredi’s Spaghetti BarRita’s Tequila and TaqueriaZero Fox and more. Of course, you can quench your thirst with pop-up bars aplenty speckling the laneways. Our pick of the bunch? A crisp lager from Last Man Standing, which is sure to inject a bit of dance floor energy.

Tickets for Teneriffe Festival are on sale right now! You can grab yours now via Oztix and if you hurry, you’ll be able to snag group passes for $50, which will secure entry for yourself and three friends. Time to hit the group chat and keep your calendar clear for one fun-filled day out on Saturday May 28.

The Weekend Edition is proud to be an official media partner of Teneriffe Festival.
