PLEASE NOTE: Sorry cheese lovers, The Cheese & Wine of New Zealand event has sold out! Stay tuned for more cheesy events in the future. As well as sheep, adventure sports, cute accents and Lord of the Rings, one of the things New Zealand is most famous for is its wine. Our cool southern neighbours have long had a reputation for turning out some of the world’s top drops, so it comes as no surprise that Treasury Brisbane has decided to pay homage to the country’s offering with one of its famous wine and cheese nights. For the first time on Tuesday August 14 (EKKA Show Day eve), the entire ground floor of the iconic Treasury Hotel will transform into a wonderland of all things choice for Cheese & Wine Of New Zealand.

You may already be familiar with Treasury’s grape-centric soirees, but Cheese & Wine Of New Zealand is taking the concept to a whole new level. Food, drinks and live entertainment will take over the Treasury Courtyard and The Lab, making the event space larger than ever before. One thing that hasn’t changed is the quality of the offering – sip on wines from the likes of Catalina Sounds, Matua Valley, Villa Maria, Squealing Pig and more complemented by fine cheeses and plentiful New Zealand canapes. For something different, head to the cocktail bar to try the Panhead New Zealand craft beer and 42 Below Feijoa Vodka.

The wine isn’t the only thing that will have you seeing stars at Cheese & Wine Of New Zealand – the live entertainment portion of the evening will be headlined by The Voice alumni The Koi Boys, who will be singing up a storm and busting out some Haka-style moves. For those seeking to take their experience in a little more exclusive direction, a VIP ticket is the way to go. These golden tickets grant access to the Cloudy Bay Room in The Lab – patrons can have a glass of wine with the Cloudy Bay masterminds, sample premium cheese and canapes, as well as go into the draw for some sweet lucky door prizes (hello, All Blacks jersey!).

Ready to snack and sip your way around New Zealand? Treasury’s wine and cheese nights sell out lightning fast, so snap up your tickets to Cheese & Wine Of New Zealand here before they all disappear.
