Gearing up for its biggest and best celebration yet, BIGSOUND  the southern hemisphere’s most significant showcase of new music – is returning to take over the streets of Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley from Tuesday September 5 to Friday September 8. This year’s event will welcome tastemakers from across the globe including media, A&R, agents, promoters, music supervisors, buyers and so much more, all descending on Brisbane to swap ideas and check out the most buzz-worthy acts currently performing on the live-music circuit. The musical offering will shine a spotlight on the crème de la crème of emerging acts, with all states and territories represented alongside artists from regional areas, remote communities and across the pond – resulting in a 140-strong line-up of taste-makers. Set to appear in this year’s festival spanning over four days and three nights include Full Flower Moon Band, Zheani, FELIVAND, Baby Prince, Battlesnake, CHISEKO, Sachém, Radium Dolls, Platonic Sex, Oscar the Wild, Joan & The Giants, smol fish, Freight Train Foxes, The Grogans, Coldwave, Kobie Dee and a whole lot more.

As well as top-tier talent, the big industry names that are set to make an appearance include American music industry juggernaut Omar Grant. Once the road manager for Destiny’s Child (yes – he has been in the same vicinity as queen Bey herself), and now co-president of Jay-Z’s ROC Nation as well as the genius behind Bad Gal Rhi Rhi’s album – ANTI, Omar is headlining BIGSOUND’s conference speaker line-up. He will be in good company, joined by other powerhouse figures in the entertainment industry such as Andy Kalyvas from Netflix, Ash Stahl from Flighthouse, Hazal Savage from Soundcloud, Michele Ronzon from Interscope and Vanessa Palmer from Paramount. BIGSOUND recognise that artists are the heart of the music community, which is why this musical showcase is a vital landscape for the success of aspiring artists globally. Artists from previous years – including Tones & I, Flume, Tash Sultana, Courtney Barnett, Gang of Youths, HOLY HOLY and Rufus du Sol – have soared since they took to the BIGSOUND stage. Check out the full line-up of talent here, and let the countdown begin.

Festival tickets are available for purchase at the BIGSOUND website.
