Once again, good people of Brisbane, ready your stomachs – it’s time to dust off those stretchy pants and prepare to get your hands greasy when The Triffid presents Brisbane’s third annual Burger Fest! On August 17, The Triffid will be shutting down Stratton Street and bringing in the big guns (and buns), with Brisbane’s best burger joints setting up shop in Newstead for one day only.
“Brisbane’s best burger” is a contentious title, but Burger Fest will give you opportunity to settle the debate for good. The festival will feature a line-up of Brisbane’s most famed buns, with Lucky Egg, Miss Kay’s, 5 Boroughs, Ze Pickle, Ben’s Burgers, MooFree and The Triffid’s own burgers hitting the grill. Each store will be offering up their loved classics along with an exclusive Burger Fest burger, as well as one mouth-watering side each. Arrive hungry, because we guarantee you’ll want to eat your way from one end of Stratton Street to the other.
Burger lovers will also enjoy live entertainment from local musicians, a beer pong arena, burger eating competitions, live art installations, a food hall and kids entertainment throughout the day. There will be live music, craft beers galore and no shame – so leave your inhibitions at the door and get ready to feast. Both years have sold out previously, so make sure to nab your ticket ASAP. Tickets are $5 (plus booking fee) – kids (12 and under) receive free entry prior to 4:00 pm.
