Brisbane will go green this month as it plays host to Australia’s largest consumer sustainability expo in a move to help save the world.
Running from Friday September 14 to Sunday September 16, the inaugural Brisbane Eco Expo will join the global fight against climate change and increased health concerns to raise awareness and connect Queenslanders with Australia’s diverse ‘green market’.
Held at the Brisbane Showgrounds, this market-place style event will see more than 140 eco-friendly businesses congregate to offer natural, organic and sustainable products across dedicated sectors. These sectors include: home and living, health and food, beauty and lifestyle, and baby and kids.
With Australia recently ranked in the top five worst countries for waste pollution, we need to make a conscious effort toward environmentally-friendly choices. Free seminars and innovative product demonstrations will be available, with keynote speakers discussing sustainable practices that can be implemented in our daily lives. As children are the future, families will also find a range of fun and engaging ‘How To’ workshops.
