Be part of Brisbane International Film Festival 2020 at QAGOMA — the returning home of Brisbane’s flagship film festival.

While the full Brisbane International Film Festival program is still under wraps, we’ve been given a sneak peek at some of the gems to expect. The festival returns to cinemas in October, opening with the Australian premiere of Stephen Maxwell Johnson’s High Ground on Thursday October 1, with one of the film’s editors Jill Bilcock AC and actor Jack Thompson AM as the Festival’s 2020 patrons. BIFF 2020 will close on Saturday October 11 with the world premiere of Firestarter: The Story of Bangarra, a compelling and vivid documentary about the evolution of Bangarra Dance Theatre and its Artistic Director Stephen Page.

Presented by QAGOMA through its Australian Cinémathèque, and in partnership with venues across Brisbane, BIFF 2020 will screen new release features and documentaries, special events, a short film competition and much more, from 1 to 11 October.

Keep your eyes peeled on the Brisbane International Film Festival 2020 official website for further information.
