Bugs are a trio of boyish Brisbane blokes making infectiously happy noise-pop. This year has seen Bugs open Falls Festival for triple j unearthed and tour the country off the back of their single ‘Neighbourhood’ – with shows including Mountain Goat Valley Crawl, Melbourne Music Week and a slew of supports for US legends Cloud Nothings and Aussie heavyweights British India, The Hard Aches, Alex Lahey and WAAX.
March saw the release of instant hit ‘Glue’, which received back to back plays premiering on triple j’s Good Nights with Bridget Hustwaite and a spotlight on Home & Hosed with with Declan Byrne the next night. In April Bugs released their EP Social Slump and embarked on a huge national tour that took them to almost every corner of the country. The Brisbane and Melbourne dates sold out within the first two weeks, with the rest of Australia not far behind. Demand for Bugs is so palpable you can almost taste it!
