Greek food lovers, this one is for you – indulge at the Chef Dimitris Katrivesis Signature Degustation Dinner with David Tsirekas at Nostimo Restaurant, The Greek Club.

Greek super chef Dimitris is known for cooking food that is ‘daring, self-assured and full of expression.’ His CV includes some of the world’s best restaurants, giving him the title of ‘a master of Greek cuisine.’

On May 15, Brisbane will have the opportunity to taste the harmonious and refined dishes firsthand when Dimitris takes residence at Nostimo Restaurant & Bar ahead of the Paniyiri Greek Festival. Joined by The Greek Club’s chef in residence, David Tsirekas, the pair will host a Signature Degustation Dinner – think shrimp with feta cheese oven-baked in a tomato sauce, and oxtail with orzo and graviera cheese. For those with a sweet tooth, dessert consists of Ravani – a coconut steamed cake with mastic and sour cherry. The menu doesn’t forget Greek classics such as Med oyster, Imam, Axinosalata and Greek yoghurt with honey.

The man behind Greek culinary masterpieces began like many other aspiring chefs, studying culinary arts in Athens in 1996. However, Dimitris’ passion for global flavours and constant learning excelled him to five-time world number one restaurant, the three-Michelin starred El Bulli in Spain. His resume also boasts experience at the acclaimed three-Michelin starred restaurant Ryugin (Tokyo), Dos Palillos (Barcelona) and Fuga (Athens).

The beautifully designed menu will feature traditional Greek favourites, prepared and presented with a signature Japanese Peruvian twist. For all our foodies, the night will be MC’d by Chef Tsirekas, giving guests a deeper insight into the man behind the dishes, his methods and inspirations.
