City Sounds is Australia’s largest free live music program, presenting local and touring bands and artists in the Queen Street Mall, Post Office Square, South Bank and other locations around Brisbane each week.

With everything from alternative and folk, to jazz and electro, and everything in between, City Sounds has something for every music lover.

From June 5, City Sounds expanded from Queen Street Mall and Brisbane’s CBD to nine new locations across the river at South Bank Parklands. Kicking off the first South Bank City Sounds weekend was contemporary jazz band SCAT, Shannon Marshall and the Souls Almighty, melodic folk solo artist Angharad Drake and indie-pop duo The Phoncurves. This opening weekend is a prime example of the amazing talent and diversity that’s on offer at City Sounds.
