Mixed-media Sydney artist Dina Broadhurst has collaborated with Westfield Chermside to exhibit her first-ever live solo show, transforming the malls in her signature style of mixing photography and collage elements in both 2D and 3D.
Working with an array of Australian brands, bespoke artworks were created alongside existing favourites and all bought to life as floor-to-ceiling height works complete with dramatic 3D elements – the largest work clocks in at more than 40 metres in length!
Dina’s work has a focus on femininity, sexuality, escapism, fantasy, desire, luxury and the perfect face that we like to present to the world. She is influenced by the worlds of fashion, advertising and design, having studied a bachelor of Visual Communications, Interior Design, and currently Fine Arts.
Broadhurst’s works draw the viewer through colour and composition, a perfectly poised image of allure, posing the question – what is beautiful?
