Ring in the Year of the Dog with an incredible line-up of free weekend entertainment at Westfield Garden City. Kicking off on Friday February 16, traditional Lion Dancers will be spreading good vibes and happiness on level two at 11:00 am and 2:00 pm and there will be free origami workshops for kids at The Forum (outside H&M). From 6:00 pm the real fun begins with sensational live entertainment and a spectacular fireworks display at 8:00 pm.

On the weekend, the festivities continue with free face painting, more origami workshops, a Chinese choir as well as stunning Lion Dancer and Kung Fu Shows at various times. The kids workshops will run until Thursday February 22 (great news for parents who might actually enjoy a coffee while it’s hot) and plenty of the individual retailers are embracing the cultural holiday with great deals and offers.
