A love letter to the past and a promise for the future, Metro Arts, with love is mixing theatre, cabaret and art installations for a two week festival from February 1 to 15.
The twelve days of festival craze includes That’s What She Said – the thought-provoking final work of Sue Benner, Ephemera – a theatrical, 40-channel video installation, Mothlight – a constructed space within which physical prowess is tested and the inner psyche investigated and Forbidden Romance: A Love Cabaret – where Brisbane City Opera explore the turmoils and tantrums of forbidden love through the all-time favourites of opera and the modern musicals. The festival kicks off with a free opening night on Saturday February 1, featuring shows, a licensed bar, DJ’s, art and more.
