Location

Karawatha Forest Park and Discovery Centre
149 Acacia Road, Karawatha

Directions

Take a walk along the 2.3 kilometre Rocks Track and learn more about native plants found at Karawatha. Identifying native plants can be tricky, so join environment centre volunteers for a field workshop where you’ll learn how to recognise features such as distinctive leaves, flowers, fruit, oil glands or aroma that will provide clues for identifying local native plants.

All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Wear a wide-brimmed hat, secure and fully enclosed walking shoes, sun-smart clothing, sunscreen and insect repellent. Bring drinking water and a snack or picnic lunch as there are no food outlets on site. Note: Walks are subject to weather and environmental conditions and may be cancelled on the day.
