See the world differently at the Noosa International Film Festival, coming to Queensland from October 25–28. Experience incredible Australian and international short films from more than 20 countries, new feature length films plus industry workshops, presented over four days across Noosa and Eumundi on the beautiful Sunshine Coast.

Recently sold out with rave reviews for its world premiere at MIFF, Book Week is a shaggy dark comedy about a disgraced novelist turned English teacher trying to find redemption. Directed by Heath Davis, this Australian black comedy will screen its Queensland premiere at NIFF’s Opening Night on Friday October 26.

Peak into the dark heart of Australia with the much talked about feature film, TERROR NULLIUS with special guest Q&A panel moderated by Amanda Slack-Smith, Artistic Director of BIFF2018 and Assistant/Curatorial Manager of the Australian Cinémathèque in discussion with Academy Award-winning cinematographer and Festival Patron, John Seale and Australian film director, Heath Davis. This screening will take place on Thursday October 26 at 1:00 pm.

Muriel’s WeddingMoulin RougeThe DressmakerRomeo + Juliet – these films all share the artistry of award-nominated film editor, Jill Bilcock. Watch her feature film, Dancing The Invisible then join Jill in conversation about her extraordinary life in film.This screening will take place on Thursday October 26 at 3:30 pm.

Academy Award-winning actor, Jeff Bridges presents Living In the Future’s Past, this US production is described as beautifully photographed tour de force of original thinking on who we are and the environmental challenges we face and is presented by actor Jeff Bridges. This will screen at Eumundi on Sunday October 28.

The short film program will have something for everyone with multiple sessions across the weekend. Our diverse themed sessions on Women & Film, Environment, Real Stories, Thrillers and Comedy are sure to entertain. Catch the winning films at the NIFF 2018 Short Film Awards Show on the night of Saturday October 27 and celebrate with the filmmakers.
