Discover the beauty in greater Brisbane’s backyard at the Peaks to Points Festival 2018.
Experience amazing natural areas on your doorstep through free events and hands-on activities from Flinders Peak near Ipswich across the south side of the Brisbane River, to Moreton Bay. The festival brings together community and groups, businesses and government to celebrate greater Brisbane’s ‘wild side’. Through bush walks, canoeing, birdwatching, tree plantings, workshops, bus tours and lots of other great eco-activities you can learn more about our wonderful natural environment, and how we can protect and enhance it.

Greenbank Military Training Tour – Wednesday 18 July 9:30 am to 1:30 pm
Tours of the Greenbank Military Training Area are a rare offering. Here’s your chance to view one of the only five remaining vine forests south of the Brisbane River, on a bus tour. Defence staff will accompany the bus as it tours the site. The tour is free for OCCA members and $20 pp for non-members. BYO lunch, snacks and water. Bus pick up and drop off from Brown Street, Corinda Railway Station.

Spring Mountain Ridgetop Walk – Thursday 19 July, 8:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Take in surprising and stunning views from ridge vantage points and 360 degree outlook from the Spring Mountain peak on this moderately challenging but scenic 9km bushwalk. Views include the Flinders Peak, D’Aguilar Range, Darlington Range, and distant Brisbane CBD skyline and Stradbroke Island. BYO lunch, snacks and water. Gold coin donation.

Spring Mountain forest Park, Meet at Park entrance of Thornbill Drive, Greenbank
Enjoy spectacular views from Spring Mountain Forest Park and learn about its plants, animals and history on a guided walk. The park features distinct rocky outcrops, forested ridges and escarpments and valleys with expansive views. Spring Mountain Forest Park is the headwater for several waterways, including Oxley Creek. The 7km walk is suitable for people with a moderate level of fitness and covers some steep and unstable terrain. Ages 8+

Eagleby Wetlands Tree Planting & Bird Watching – Sunday 29 July, 8:00–10:00 am

Join the Logan City Council for a morning of tree planting and bird watching at the Eagleby Wetlands. FREE Parking is available at the Oliver Sports Centre. All participants will be rewarded for their efforts with a complimentary sausage sizzle. Bookings not required.
