Join our Tea Essentials masterclass to start your exploration into the magical world of pure leaf tea.

You will be taken on a unique journey through the most popular styles of pure leaf tea with each tasting accompanied by a delightful paired tea snack. We will explore the world’s most important growing regions to appreciate the incredible diversity in flavour profiles. During the tasting, you will have an opportunity to evaluate tea characteristics such as fragrance, body, colour and taste (just like wine!) and gain some basic skills to assess quality.

Tea will be brewed and shared authentically to demonstrate different preparation methods, brewing vessels and cultural traditions. We will also provide you with some tips to learn the parameters for the successful infusion of leaf tea.

During the masterclass, we discuss the botanicals of tea with a focus on the origin, terroir and provenance and why these elements are important in tea making and authenticity. You will learn about the main tea types and styles and gain an insight into the craft of tea making and the many masterful hands involved in finishing tea to its best form.
