On the balmy summer’s eve of Saturday February 24, you’re invited to a whimsical dining experience at Brisbane’s newest foodie precinct, King Street. Leave the hustle and bustle of the outside world behind when you sit down to enjoy The Weekend Edition’s Summer Series Pop-Up Picnic.  

For us at The Weekend Edition, the weekend is meant for sleeping in, slowing down and enjoying the little moments that bring us so much joy. For The Pop-Up Picnic, we want to help guests create these moments with the perfect evening of escapism from the day-to-day.

Guests will enter a dreamy Mediterranean-style picnic setting, complete with Turkish rugs, plush floor cushions, warm flickering candles and lavish decorations. After being escorted to the special VIP area, guests will be treated to a welcome drink on arrival and shown to their exclusive seat – this is an intimate affair, with only 30 seats available. Once all guests are seated, the communal feasting will commence. An array of antipasto platters will start the night off, followed by a sumptuous array of Mediterranean delights from The Pine Kitchen – think chicken and kofta skewers, calamari, felafels, tabouleh, hummus, Lebanese bread, wine and more.
