Launching online Monday June 15, State Library of Queensland’s newest online exhibition, TWENTY, reflects on the past 20 years in Queensland. The 200-plus collection of documentary-style visuals covers both pivotal events in history to simple everyday life moments which happened in Queensland over the past two decades – from natural disasters to community protests, art and culture and much more.

The 56 photographers featured in TWENTY represent the enormous bounty of talent in Queensland’s photography community. Some well-known, some just starting out, but all extremely gifted – you’ll find yourself immersed in their breath-taking photographs that reflect our sunny state in the new millennium.

On Wednesday June 17, you’ll be able to delve deeper into the the exhibition’s work and hear from award-winning journalist Kerry O’Brien as he reflects on both the exhibition and Queensland over the years. Kerry will chat through the importance of documentary photography as well as the pivotal moments in the past two decades, which is captured in this spectacular time-travelling exhibition.

To explore the exhibition, head here from Monday June 15.
