Get under the covers with Metro Arts and relish in the unconventionally erotic, ugly, obscene, beautiful, strange and sometimes disturbing, lustful adventures of Brisbanians in Wheel of Fortune.
Co-created by Producer Troy Armstrong (Sex with Strangers, True West) and Director Tim Hill (Rent, This is Our Youth), in collaboration with Optic Archive, Wheel of Fortune stars Meg Bowden, Richard Lund, Jackie McLaren, Brendan Lorenzo, Jacqui Story, Ron Kelly, Ruby Clark, Elise Greig, Veronica Neave and Stephen Hirst as they play out a secret roulette of salacious encounters throughout our River City.
Follow a trail of clothes and emotions strewn across the city as a public servant allures an eager American marine who captivates an au pair, who is then seduced by a school boy who charms his biology teacher that is married to a lawyer who is secretly enticing a socialite, that becomes the muse of a portrait photographer that once had a love affair with an actress that ravished a measured politician that enchanted the attention of the public servant.
Adapted from Arthur Schnitzler’s controversial La Ronde, Armstrong describes Wheel of Fortune as a social commentary on sexual morality and points at a class divide.
