Coffee giant Allpress has released a capsule espresso

Whilst we love a good coffee, most of the time our at-home creations just aren't on the same level as their cafe-made counterparts. To help you battle the urge to give up and spend your sweet savings on a barista-made brew, New Zealand-born coffee giant Allpress has created its first capsule espresso – promising coffee lovers a flavourful and premium brew in the comfort of their own home.

It has taken the caffeine-loving crew at Allpress 18 months to create its first capsule espresso, but by all accounts the wait is worth it. The new capsule was carefully created by reformulating its beloved Allpress Espresso Blend to highlight its rich caramel flavour and increase depth. The process saw the Allpress team grind its coffee super finely (to allow for a slower extraction) and these grounds were then roasted at a high temperature to maximise the solubility of the coffee. The result? A capsule coffee that mimics the taste of Allpress’ cafe coffee but at the fraction of the price.

Allpress’ specialty coffee capsules, which are compatible with most capsule coffee machines, cost just $12 for a ten pack or, if you want to save more in the long run, you can grab a 60 pack for $70. Espresso dependants can snag these nifty newcomers via the Allpress website, at Allpress roastery cafes and select specialty grocery stores now. If you’re a beginner barista, hop over here for some brewing tips and tricks straight from the horse’s mouth.
