Few things give us foodie FOMO more than seeing our interstate mates pop a pic of their Belles chicken dinner on Instagram. While we’ve got no option but to begrudgingly click ‘like’ and then stew in our chook-induced jealousy, Belles Hot Chicken has graciously decided to bring its Nashville-inspired fare north, hosting a pop-up at Welcome to Bowen Hills before May’s end. For three days only, Belles Hot Chicken will be spicing up our lives, bringing north a menu of its signature bites, including its Really F**kin Hot wings (yes, that’s what they’re actually called), chicken sandwiches and crunchy tenders.

As it happens, Belles Hot Chicken’s arrival will coincide with the Chicken Nugget Festival, which is taking place at Welcome to Bowen Hills on the same weekend. Morgan McGlone – the originator of Belles Hot Chicken – has designed a special take on the humble nugget, which will undoubtedly pack some of his joint’s signature heat.
