It truly warms our hearts when two of our Brisbane favourites team up for a super collaboration. Recently, Lefty’s Old Time Music Hall owner Jamie Webb decided his team should focus on what it does best – killer drinks and a stellar live-music line-up – and work with another Brisbane original on the food front. Enter Ben’s Burgers. Jamie and Ben’s owner Ben Chiu have been secretly working away on the collaboration behind the scenes for Ben’s to completely take over the Lefty’s kitchen, and as of Friday August 3, Ben’s will be slinging its much-loved burgs for both dine in and takeaway.
Ben’s Burgers at Lefty’s Old Time Music Hall will serve the same three-burger line-up as its Winn Lane sibling, so you can pair your cocktail with a Classic, Cheesy or Veg with all of the trimmings, plus its selection of sides and sauces. Those still mourning the loss of Ben’s fried chicken burger had best wipe those tears, because – brace yourself – it’s making a triumphant comeback at Lefty’s. Ben’s will have its own ordering section separate to the main Lefty’s bar for easy ordering (especially if you want to pop in for takeaway), but you can take your eats to dine anywhere within the venue. If Ben’s cravings strike on evenings when Lefty’s has ticketed events, you can still drop in for a feed in Lefty’s front room and upstairs in The Mermaid Lounge.
