Feeling parched? Stay stocked with these local booze-delivery services

You've stocked up on the essentials – pasta, lentils, rice and toilet paper. Did you remember to pop into the bottle shop, too? If you didn't, don't panic. There's no need to enter self quarantine without a well-provisioned wine rack, beer fridge or liquor cabinet. There are a bunch of local booze businesses that can deliver product directly to your door, saving you from sipping on that dusty bottle of creme de menthe as a last-resort knock-off.

Ballistic Beer Co.: Although both of Ballistic’s breweries and its taproom are still operational for now, the brewery has introduced a new delivery service on orders of $70 or more for customers living within a five-kilometre radius of its Salisbury and Springfield hubs. For a flat fee of $5, you can snag brewer-fresh cold ones to stock up your fridge. Hit the online store to have a look at Ballistic’s core range, then order a slab or two to tide you over.

Craft Wine Store: Both Craft stores in Red Hill and Coorparoo are operating as normal, but they have now introduced home delivery and valet drive-through options for those implementing social-distancing practices. Deliveries can be sent to your home or office, with purchases left at the door. As for pick-up orders, all goods can be placed directly into your car, with vehicles able to pull up in the driveway or park at the Coles car park in Coorparoo, or at the front of the Red Hill shop. All payments can be made via mobile eftpos machines upon collection or over the phone.

Baedeker: Fortitude Valley’s old-world wine bar has teamed up with the team at Wine & Dine’m Catering and their Express Catering service to deliver an excellent selection of wines are to your door within two days. In addition to this, you can also order pantry and household items (pasta, rice and even toilet paper), breakfast, lunch and dinner meals, and hamper packages. Hit the Express Catering website to browse the selection of bottles.

Semi-Pro Brewing Co.: This East Brisbane craft-brewing operation has shut its taproom for the duration of the corona outbreak, but it is offering delivery for those still thirsting for a drop of its fine ales. Semi-Pro has launched same-day home delivery for half and full cartons of its East Brisbane lager, Manilla St pale ale, Rye Expectations American barleywine and the Pine Passion sour. Click here to order.

Grape Therapy: One of Brisbane’s preeminent vino sources has launched a wine club, which will net members three, six or 12 wines per month – all available to either pick up at Grape Therapy or be delivered to their door on the first Friday of the month. In addition to this, those missing Grape Therapy’s famous wine tasting events will still be able to join the fun of wine appreciation by subscribing to the bar’s V-Log Wine 101 Series, where oenophiles will be discussing all things vino.

Newstead Brewing Co.: One of Brisbane’s longest-running craft-beer brewers is offering free delivery for any destination within ten kilometres of its Newstead and Milton breweries. Head to Newstead Brewing’s webstore and you can purchase cartons of the brewer’s Two in the Valley IPA, 3 Quarter Time session ale, The Mayne Thing golden juice and even the limited-edition Canned Laughter hazy pale ale.

Slipstream Brewing Co.: From Thursday March 19, Slipstream will be delivering beers to local suburbs for free if you spend $75 or more. Currently, the brewery’s delivery radius includes Annerley, Yeronga, Yeerongpilly, Moorooka, Rocklea, Sherwood, Corinda, Graceville, Oxley, Greenslopes, Stones Corner, Tarragindi, Holland Park and Wellers Hill. Want to skip the prep and go straight to the sip? You can also order pre-made bottled cocktails including the blood-orange negroni, elderflower gimlet and gin martini. Hit the website to browse the selection.

Revel Brewing Co.: The crew at Revel are currently working on establishing an online store to provide surrounding neighbourhoods with Revel beer, either nabbed as takeaway or delivered with non-contact delivery direct to your doorstep. Keep your eyes on the Revel website for info.

Whisky Loot: They say whisky is a good cure for all manner of ailments. We’re not doctors, but maybe a nip or two while you pass the nights at home won’t hurt. Whisky Loot is knocking off 15 percent across its tasting boxes – simply enter the code STOCKUP at checkout.

We’ll update this list with more delivery options as we see them.
